Glossary/Dialing

Auto dialer

An auto dialer is any software that dials phone numbers automatically instead of by hand. Power, parallel, and predictive dialers are all types of auto dialer. They differ in how many lines they run at once and whether a live rep is guaranteed on every connected call.

Auto dialer is the umbrella term. What matters is the mode underneath it. A power dialer runs one live line per rep, a parallel dialer runs several, and a predictive dialer paces ahead of agent availability.

When you compare auto dialers, look past dials per hour to connect-to-meeting conversion, abandoned-call risk, and whether a human is on every call. Dialfyne is a single-line power dialer, the most compliant and rep-friendly of the three.
